Purpose / intended use
Rigid splint dressing for immobilisation of limbs for use on intact skinDescription
miro-castlonguette is an orthopaedic splint bandage which is used for partial or complete immobilization. It consists of a multi-layer glass fibre system coated with a polyurethane resin which is activated on contact with water. The glass fibre system is wrapped in a soft polypropylene fleece, which cushions the dressing and thus creates a high wearing comfort for the patient (the cushion can be opened and re-closed at the side for cutting and moistening). The bandage is breathable, ensuring an exchange of air and moisture.Application: Internal fibreglass should be sprayed/moistened with 20°C-25°C warm water, wring out excess water. The dressing activates within 3-4 minutes and is loadable after 20 minutes. Wearable for up to 60 days.
