Purpose / intended use

Adhesive fixation plaster for fixation of bandage ends, compresses, cannulas, tubes, catheters as well as support and relief dressings for application on intact skin.

Description

miro-tape is an inelastic, particularly strong plaster bandage made of 100% cotton fabric. The carrier material is coated with a strong zinc oxide rubber adhesive and adheres reliably to skin and support bandages. Can be torn lengthwise and crosswise. Available in white, blue, red, yellow and black.

Field of application

- Stabilisation: Rigid tapes provide firm support and stabilisation for joints, especially after an injury. They are often used for sprains or strained ligaments to protect the affected joint and prevent further injury.

Kontraindikationen / Warnhinweise

Coloured tape rolls may stain skin and clothing.
The zinc oxide rubber adhesive can be affected in its adhesive properties by the ambient temperature.
While rigid tapes offer their benefits, it is important to apply them correctly to avoid skin irritation, excessive restriction of movement or other complications. Therefore, they should ideally be applied by professionals such as physiotherapists or sports physicians. It is also important to clean the skin before applying the tape and to ensure that it is free of sores or skin irritations. The tape should not be too tight and should be changed regularly to avoid skin problems.
