Gauze compress for padding and dispensing medicines (ointments) for use on intact skin

Description

miro gauze compresses are absorbent, skin-friendly and breathable. Available in three practical sizes.
8-ply, 17-thread with folded cut edges according to DIN EN 14079.

Field of application

- Cleaning: Non-sterile gauze dressings can be used to cleanse the skin or to remove dirt or secretions from non-open skin areas.
- Padding: They can be used as padding to protect skin sites from friction or pressure.
- Absorption: They are good for absorbing liquids, e.g. blood, secretion or exudate from non-open wounds.
- Application of ointments or gels: Some therapeutic ointments or gels can be applied to non-open skin areas with non-sterile gauze compresses.
- Protection: They can be used to protect non-open wounds, rashes or other skin irritations from further damage caused by external factors.
- Cooling or warming: In some situations, gauze dressings can be used in conjunction with cold or heat applications to reduce swelling or relieve pain.
- Fixation: They can also be used as an intermediate layer, for example to hold other dressing materials or medical devices in place.

Kontraindikationen / Warnhinweise

Non-sterile gauze dressings should not be used for open wounds or areas where sterility is required as this may increase the risk of infection. In such cases, sterile gauze dressings or other sterile dressing materials should be used.
